Change Happens
| "To live is to change, and to have lived well is to have changed often." --John Henry Newman |
|
Change is easy for some people. If you've lived in the same house all your life, worked at the same job for the last 30 years, and have driven the same car for the last ten years, you probably don't like change. You want things to stay as they are! A great deal of security can be found in knowing what to expect. Life becomes somewhat predictable. Yet, we cannot stay where we are. Change is inevitable.
Children experience predictable cycles of physical and psychological growth that are critical to their becoming healthy adults. Continued growth is absolutely essential.
By God's grace we can learn to surf life's ocean of changing circumstance, or we can foolishly try to make the waves go away. Bon voyage!
